What Are You Doing with Your Mustard Seed?

Mustard seeds are usually about 1 to 2 millimeters in diameter and may be colored from yellowish white to black. But when handled appropriately and in the proper conditions, they yield much from such a small seed. Why did Jesus use this little seed as an object of his parables?
